Supported Browsers

The following are the current mainstream browsers that BiblioCommons supports on computers, BiblioMobile applications, and eBook readers through BiblioDigital.

Browsers for BiblioCore & BiblioWeb

Microsoft Edge

Microsoft Edge has a rapid release model. Instead of specific release numbered support for Microsoft Edge, BiblioCommons supports the most recent stable release, and the 2nd most recent stable release on Windows 10.

Internet Explorer

BiblioCommons supports IE 11 on Windows versions in mainstream support (currently Windows 8 and 10).

BiblioCommons support for IE 9 ended on April 1, 2016, and support for IE 10 on June 30, 2016.

Microsoft has ended support for Internet Explorer versions prior to IE 11.

Firefox

Mozilla has a rapid release model, and has made their update mechanism more aggressive. Instead of specific release numbered support for Firefox, BiblioCommons supports the most recent mozilla-release channel release, and the 2nd most recent mozilla-release channel release on Windows versions in mainstream support (currently Windows 8 and 10) and Mac OS X (latest version).

Chrome

Google has a rapid release model, and has a fully automated update mechanism.  Instead of specifying release number support for Chrome, BiblioCommons supports the most recent stable channel release, and the 2nd most recent stable channel release on Windows versions in mainstream support (currently Windows 8 and 10) and Mac OS X (latest version).

Safari

Currently BiblioCommons supports Safari versions 8, 9 and 10 on Mac OSX 8, 9, 10.
